My Profile
Mr. Yogendra Chapagain is
a proactive, dedicated, and results-driven professional development
practitioner with an M. Phil-level academic background and technical expertise
in the Education, Research, and Development (ERD) sector. Additionally, I bring
over a decade of experience in education projects including USAID early grade
Reading Program (EGRP), specializing in capacity building and system
strengthening.
He specializes in various
domains, including the School Education System (encompassing Policy, Program
Development, Instructional Pedagogy, Governance Systems, and IEMIS), capacity
building, system strengthening, training, and facilitation. His expertise
extends to Inclusive Education, covering areas such as Early Screening,
Home-Based Learning, Pedagogical techniques, and Universal Design for Learning
(UDL). Additionally, he has proficiency in Early Grade Reading, Project
Management, Knowledge Management, and Research, involving tools development,
data collection, KOBO designing, quantitative data analysis utilizing SPSS, and
producing high-quality reports.
With over a decade of
extensive experience in project management, he specializes in planning,
implementing, reporting, monitoring, quality assurance, documentation,
coordination, and mentorship of staff. His expertise spans six years in
providing technical leadership and support to provincial, district, and local
governments, contributing to system strengthening and capacity building at the
GoN office.
He brings six years of
experience in assisting provinces and local governments in developing capacity
building activities, ensuring the effective delivery of Early Grade Reading
(EGR) services. Additionally, he has over six years of involvement in IEMIS
system strengthening as a technical facilitator, utilizing data for planning
and result-based monitoring.
Demonstrating technical support
and leadership skills, He has played a pivotal role in developing education
plans, profiles, strategies, and local curricula for more than 30 local
governments across Koshi, Madhesh, and Karnali Provinces. As a teacher training
facilitator and TPS supporter for over nine years, He has expertise in EGR, TPS
training, instruction, assessment, TPD, school leaders' capacity building
(HT/SMC/PTA), and the development and implementation of School Improvement
Plans, along with social audit.
His portfolio includes
four years of experience in PNGO partnership management, serving as a liaison
between PNGO and GoN. He has successfully managed teams for over nine years,
leading the technical aspects of the education sector with various stakeholders.
With a rich background in training and facilitation in the education sector, He
has also led inclusive education projects at the central level, both from
managerial and technical perspectives within the consortium model.
Furthermore, He possess
extensive experience managing SMC grants and School grants for EGR instruction
and community mobilization, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the
multifaceted aspects of education sector management. In addition to that, Mr.
Chapagain has successfully managed extensive programs funded by renowned
organizations like USAID, UK AID, and EU. Notably, his exceptional communication,
coordination, and report-writing skills, combined with proficiency in IT and
task management, enable him to deliver results under demanding timelines.
Furthermore, he has authored over 40 articles exclusively focused on the school education sector. Additionally, he has played a significant role in publishing and contributing to the creation of education-related books and manuals designed for various teacher training programs.
