 Profile Overview: Yogendra Chapagain

Overview

A proactive and results-oriented professional with over 11 years of experience in the development sector, specializing in education development and system strengthening through leadership roles and the Technical Assistance (TA) model with the Government of Nepal. Holding an M. Phil in Education Studies, I possess strong technical expertise in education, project management, system strengthening, and capacity building. With a decade of project management experience, I am deeply committed to ensuring equitable quality education for all children along with community change. Major expertise areas are;

Inclusive Education/UDL: Facilitator/Support as an Expert  

  1. Facilitated three days training on Inclusive Pedagogy to School Teachers during September 21-23, 2025, Sarlahi from Plan International/RRPK. 
  2. Facilitated two days Training on Inclusive School Development Plan to Project staffs and Palika Education Focal Person during September 15-16, Rautahat from WVI/RRPK.  
  3. Facilitated a five-day Training of Trainers (ToT) on Inclusive Education Pedagogy and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) for teachers, organized by Good Neighbors International, Kailali, September 1-5, 2025.
  4. Facilitated a five-day Training of Trainers (ToT) on Inclusive Education Pedagogy and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) for teachers, organized by Good Neighbors International, Bardiya, May 12–16, 2025. 
  5. Facilitated a three-day Teacher Training on Inclusive Education and UDL for VSO/JJYC in Bara and Rautahat, September 10–15, 2023.
  6. Facilitated Teacher Training on Inclusive Education and UDL for People in Need/SODCC Parsa in Bara and Rautahat, July 18–23, 2023.
  7. Facilitated a Capacity Building Refresher Training for School at Home Facilitators on Inclusive Education, organized by Save the Children, June 25–27, 2023, in Surkhet, Nepal.
  8. Facilitated training on Child-Friendly Pedagogy in Jahada Rural Municipality for Sahas Nepal in 2023.
  9. Contributed technical support to the development of Inclusive Education Policies for Bharatpur Metropolitan City and Kalika Municipality, Chitwan.
  10. Led three types of study related to inclusive education: Understanding of School Stakeholders on Inclusive Education: 2022, analyzing school SOP/SIP culture and practices on Inclusive education: 2022 and analyzing school ICT Status for Inclusive Education: 2022 a key person/leader. 
  11. Prepared a comprehensive report of assessment of school accessibility through Humanity and Inclusion (HI)/ACCA as a key person/leader. 
  12. Have certificate of 7 days long Inclusive cum UDL Teacher training. 
  13. Facilitated 3 days capacity building training on community mobilization and inclusive education for project staffs under Inclusive education project/HI at Chitwan.  
  14. Facilitated Training of Trainer (ToT) on Compliant Response Mechanism (CRM) during September 17-19, 2022 in Bharatpur, Chitwan.
  15. Facilitated capacity building workshop of the school and local government stakeholders on Inclusive Education and Policy during September 1-12, 2022 in Chitwan .

Technical Support Government as a Key Expert

  1. Provided technical support in the development of Municipal Education Plan of Four local governments: Jagada RM, Dhanpal RM and Kanepokhari RM and Pathari Shanishchare Municipality of Morang for 10 Years Education Plan development during May-July, 2025
  2. Provided technical support in the development of Municipal Education Plan of Soru Rural Municipality Mugu Karnali Province through United Mission to Nepal in 2023.  
  3. Provided technical support in the development of Municipal Education Plan of 8 Local Government of VSO working LGs of Bara and Rautahat in 2023.
  4. Provided technical support in the development of Educational Quality Improvement Roadmap 2079 of Hatuwagadhi RM Bhojpur.
  5. Provided technical support in the development of Education Profile and Municipal Education Plan of all local governments of Dhankuta, Bhojpur, Khotang, and Taplejung
  6. Provided technical support in the development of Education Profile and Municipal Education Plan of Barju RM, Lisankhu Pakhar Rural Municipality 
  7. Provided technical support in the development of Education Profile and Municipal Education Plan of Makalu Municipality 
  8. Provided technical support in the development of Local Curriculum of Makalu Municipality and Bhokraha Narshin Rural Municipality

Research/Study/Report Development: As a Key Lead 

  • Led a research study on the local curriculum as an education and research expert for the Ministry of Social Development, Koshi Province in 2025.
  • Led EGRA and EGMA Study in the province in 2024 as a province lead.  
  • Led LEU capacity need assessment in 57 LGs in Koshi province in 2024 as a province lead
  • Worked as a Research Consultant at VSO Nepal during December 02, 2022, to March 31, 2023, and conducting three research works as a research lead.   
  • Lead research on Local Level Information Communication Technology (ICT) and Capacity Need Assessment Survey as a province local person. 
  • Provided technical support to ERO for conducting NASA Test as a Test Administrator: February 2023.
  • Prepared a comprehensive report of assessment of school accessibility through Humanity and Inclusion (HI)/ACCA as a key person/leader.

  • Facilitated 5 days customized Teacher Training on Integrated Curriculum in Sindhulai in August 2025 from Childaidnetworking/SIDS Sindhuali. 
  • Facilitated over 50+ events of Integrated Curriculum–based Teacher Training for various local governments and organizations as a certified ToT trainer of the Education Training Center
